COMMENTS According to the folks at SVT this car has an interesting history. The car was original used by Ford/SVT as a “static display” vehicle. After serving as a display vehicle, the car then was purchased by a Ford employee and never delivered to a dealership. Because of this, I could not obtain the original window sticker or get a copy from SVT. In 1998, a private car collector from Clarion PA purchased the car with 46 miles on it and had it flatbed from Michigan. In May 2001, he traded in both of his Cobra’s 1996 Mystic (with 170 miles) and a 1997 Rio Red convertible for an Explorer.
