COMMENTS I did own two Mystics at the same time, #11 and #1494. George Tays now owns #1494. #11 is my Instructor car. I teach for National Auto Sports Association, Track Time, TrackGuys, Porsche Club, BMW, Audi and SVT’s On Track Program. The car has a full Griggs suspension and a Naturally Aspirated 5.0L DOHC motor putting down 417+ rwhp. Power is delivered through a Tremec 3550 5 speed with a 0.82 fifth gear, allowing me to run 4.10 rear gears through a Torsen II differential. For safety I use 6 pt Autopower cam lock harness attached to a 6 pt roll bar, a 10# in-car Halon fire system (with a nozzle under the hood), a separate hand held Halon bottle and, Recaro seats. Current mileage, 19,558. If anyone in the Midwest is interested in trying some open track driving under controlled conditions (a stock Cobra can hit about 125 mph on most tracks and in 10 years I have never seen car-to-car contact), please contact me. I instruct about 10 - 14 events per year (equates to around 20 - 30 track days). Tracks I frequent and instruct at are: Road America, Virginia International, Watkins Glen, Mid Ohio, Mid AmericaMotor Plex, Heartland Park, Hallett, Putnam Park, Gingerman, Summit Point, and Waterford Hills. |
